Programs
Faith Aid's grant and partnership program helping the neediest patients in Sub-Saharan Africa access the medical care they desperately need.
Program Overview
Health Access for the Least (HEAL) is Faith Aid's grant and partnership program that helps the neediest patients in Sub-Saharan Africa access medical care. Through targeted grants and hospital partnerships, HEAL funds specific programs that address the most urgent, under-resourced medical needs in the region.
HEAL Program
Forgotten Faces provides reconstructive surgery for impoverished children living in surgical deserts across Sub-Saharan Africa.
In the surgical deserts of Sub-Saharan Africa, thousands of children live with devastating facial deformities and little hope of treatment. They are the forgotten faces of global health. At Kapsowar Hospital in Kenya, volunteer surgeons are restoring dignity and essential function through life-restoring plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Millions of children across the region lack access to modern surgical care. Conditions such as noma, trauma, tumors, burns, and post-infectious deformities can destroy the mouth and jaw, leaving children unable to eat, speak, or maintain basic oral function. Without treatment, many face lifelong disability, severe malnutrition, social isolation, or death.
HEAL Program
HEAL Every Heart provides pediatric cardiac surgery and specialized heart care for children across Sub-Saharan Africa — because every child's heart matters to God.
In Sub-Saharan Africa, children with serious heart conditions rarely receive the care they need. Cardiac surgery is among the most specialized and resource-intensive medicine in the world — and for most families in the region, it is simply out of reach. At Tenwek Hospital in Kenya, a skilled cardiac team is doing what almost no other hospital on the continent can: healing the hearts of children who would otherwise have none.
Conditions such as rheumatic heart disease and congenital heart defects are widespread across the region, yet surgical capacity is nearly nonexistent. Children who go untreated face progressive heart failure, permanent disability, and early death — not because their conditions are untreatable, but because care is simply beyond reach. HEAL Every Heart exists to close that gap, one child at a time.
HEAL Program
Malnourished Children provides life-saving nutritional treatment and medical care for children suffering from acute malnutrition across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Across Sub-Saharan Africa, acute malnutrition silently devastates the youngest and most vulnerable. Children with severe wasting face weakened immune systems, developmental harm, and death — yet many never reach a clinic capable of treating them. Through a network of Christian mission hospitals, Faith Aid is working to identify, reach, and restore children who are slipping away.
Severe acute malnutrition leaves children dangerously underweight and profoundly vulnerable to infection and organ failure. Ready to Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) — a nutrient-dense, ready-to-eat treatment — is the global standard of care for severe acute malnutrition and can be administered without clean water or refrigeration, making it uniquely suited for remote and under-resourced communities. Our partner hospitals serve some of the most isolated populations on the continent, where RUTF and skilled medical care together give wasting children a genuine chance at survival and recovery.
HEAL Program
HEAL Accounts cover the difference between what impoverished patients can give and the true cost of their care.
The sickest and most desperate patients often arrive without the means to pay for the care they urgently need. HEAL Accounts exist to bridge that gap — ensuring that poverty alone is never the reason a patient goes untreated.
