Orthopedic Care for Those Who Need It Most
Across rural Kenya, the most vulnerable patients suffering from orthopedic conditions are those living on just a few dollars per day, often without stable income, formal employment, or access to social support systems. These patients are frequently unable to afford even basic diagnostic services such as x-rays or laboratory tests, making surgical care entirely out of reach. As a result, treatable injuries are left unaddressed, leading to preventable disability, chronic pain, and long-term loss of livelihood. This program specifically targets this most indigent population, ensuring that those with the greatest financial and social barriers are prioritized for care.
