We are a family of 6 serving impoverished children in Kenya seeking life-saving medical care.

Jacob, Lauren, Miriam (8), Micah (5), Layla (5), and Lorelei (1)

In the Gospel of Mark chapter 5, we are told of a woman “who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse.” In Kenya, we encounter children and families in similar circumstances on a daily basis.

Many have exhausted their savings to get a diagnosis. Others have spent all of their money on transportation, trying desperately to find a hospital that can help their child. Still others have received treatment with traditional medicine, and instead of getting better, they only grew worse.

Faced with such adversity, frustration, and disappointment, it is easy to see how both the suffering woman described in the Gospel of Mark and the parents of sick children in Kenya could lose hope. However, instead of losing hope, this unnamed woman in the Gospel said, “If I touch even his garments, I will be made well.” After she was healed, Jesus said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well.”

At Mustard Seed House, we share the Gospel with parents and children in both word and deed, and we know the importance of even faith as a mustard seed in the face of suffering.

Our ministry is called Mustard Seed House. We care for the sick & suffering in Jesus’ name.

Mustard Seed House at Tenwek Hospital provides Christian care for families who travel far from home for the medical needs of their children. We welcome the sick & suffering in Jesus’ name. In 2022, we welcomed over 700 people in our 3-bedroom house!

The Gospel is transforming many lives through this ministry. Will you join us?
