Faith Aid Launches New Partnership with AIC Kapsowar Mission Hospital

Faith Aid announced today the launch of a new partnership with AIC Kapsowar Mission Hospital in Kenya, marked by the signing of a Grant Agreement on February 19, 2026.
Faith Aid President Jacob Fraher visited Kapsowar twice in February 2026 to meet with patients, physicians, and hospital leadership and to formalize the collaboration.
There could not be stronger alignment between our organizations. We want to help Kapsowar care for the sick and suffering in Jesus’ name. We are inspired by both the history and vision of this hospital, and we are honored to be here.
– Jacob Fraher, Faith Aid President
Omega Kivaji, Director of Faith Aid Kenya, also participated in the February visit to Kapsowar.
“We are excited to work together to serve the least of these. We believe this collaboration will open new doors of hope and healing for many underserved families from Kenya and across Africa who travel to Kapsowar Mission Hospital for treatment”
– Omega Kivaji, Faith Aid Kenya Director
This partnership marks Faith Aid’s third Christian mission hospital partner in Kenya. Faith Aid continues to focus on partnerships with hospitals committed to serving the poor and attracting patients from across the country and continent, offering specialized care that is beyond reach for many of the poorest patients.
The partnership will initially launch with two Compassion programs: an Orthopedic Surgery Compassion Program and a Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Compassion Program, both designed to support impoverished patients who lack access to specialized surgical care.
Dr. Tim Hereford, who is championing the Orthopedic Surgery Compassion Fund, shared:
As the only orthopedic surgeon at Kapsowar, I treat both children and adults in urgent need of care. This fund makes treatment possible for families who cannot afford it.
– Dr. Tim Hereford, Orthopedic Surgeon
Through the Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Compassion Program, Faith Aid seeks to help children travel from surgical deserts across Sub-Saharan Africa to receive facial reconstruction for trauma, burns, tumors, noma, and post-infectious deformities.
The surgical program at Kapsowar spans general surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, hand, microvascular, and nerve surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and orthopedic surgery, anchored by Bill and Laura Rhodes, who have faithfully served at AIC Kapsowar Mission Hospital for nearly 30 years.
Faith Aid and Kapsowar Mission Hospital are also exploring the future establishment of Mustard Seed House at Kapsowar to provide accommodation and support for patients traveling long distances for care.
