Faith Aid Renews Grant Agreement with AGC Tenwek Hospital to Expand Life-Saving Care for Impoverished Patients

Faith Aid has entered into a multi-year grant agreement of up to $1 million dollars with AGC Tenwek Hospital, reaffirming a long-standing partnership committed to providing life-saving medical care to patients who cannot afford treatment.
This collaboration strengthens an already deep relationship between Faith Aid and AGC Tenwek Hospital, one rooted in a shared mission to care for the sick and suffering in the name of Jesus Christ. Since 2017, the two organizations have worked together to remove financial barriers that prevent vulnerable patients from accessing quality, Christ-centered healthcare.
For decades, AGC Tenwek Hospital has stood as one of Africa’s leading mission hospitals, offering exceptional medical services under the guiding truth: “We Treat, Jesus Heals.” With a 361-bed capacity and a reputation for clinical excellence, Tenwek serves patients from across Kenya and neighboring countries.
Faith Aid, a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, shares this vision, combining compassionate care with the hope of the Gospel. After nearly eight years of partnership, Faith Aid’s commitment to helping Tenwek care for needy patients remains unwavering.
In 2025 alone, Faith Aid contributed more than $160,000 (approximately KES 20.6 million) to support medical care for over 500 patients at AGC Tenwek Hospital. These patients were assisted through Faith Aid’s specialized Compassion Funds, which respond to specific diagnoses and urgent needs, including:
- Cardiac Care
- Neurosurgery
- Pediatrics
- Orthopedics
- General Surgery
- Renal Care
- Casualty Care
Each program is designed to reach the neediest patients, using proven, research-based assessment strategies that function as a last resort for the neediest patients.
Faith Aid’s impact at Tenwek extends way beyond medical care for impoverished patients. Through Mustard Seed House, another Faith Aid-supported ministry located near AGC Tenwek Hospital, patients and caregivers receive safe accommodation, meals, prayer, and spiritual support during treatment.
For families traveling from remote regions, Mustard Seed House reduces the burden of housing costs and ensures patients can complete treatment without interruption, surrounded by care, dignity, and Christian fellowship.
Looking toward the future, the vision remains clear that every patient who seeks care would experience not only healing for the body, but also the love of Christ for the soul.
