Press Release · July 2026
Broadlands, Virginia — July 2026
Faith Aid is honored to announce a new three-year $135,000 Fellowship Award from the Foxwynd Foundation that will help expand Mustard Seed House Tenwek, dramatically increasing access to life-saving medical care for patients and caregivers traveling to AGC Tenwek Hospital in Bomet, Kenya.
The grant was made possible through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) of the Foxwynd Foundation.
The Fellowship Award provides $45,000 annually over three years to activate and expand the three-house Mustard Seed House Tenwek campus. When fully developed in 2028, the campus will accommodate up to 250 patients and caregivers every night, serving tens of thousands of African patients and their families each year.
The partnership continues the Foxwynd Foundation's longstanding commitment to supporting patients and families receiving care at AGC Tenwek Hospital and represents a significant investment in removing barriers to healthcare for some of East Africa's most vulnerable people.
Dr. Paul Clark, a Committee Member of the Foxwynd Foundation and a longtime volunteer at AGC Tenwek Hospital, saw firsthand the barriers many impoverished patients face in accessing specialized medical care. After years of supporting Tenwek Hospital, Dr. Clark selected Faith Aid to join the Foxwynd Fellowship Program in June 2026.
"Access to healthcare is about more than medical treatment. When patients and their families have a safe place to stay during difficult times, they can focus on healing with greater dignity and hope. We are grateful to partner with Faith Aid in expanding that support for communities served by Tenwek Hospital."
Faith Aid celebrated the Grand Opening and dedication of Mustard Seed House Tenwek on Saturday, June 20, 2026, marking the completion of Phase 1 of the campus. The first year of the Fellowship Award served as the foundation for Faith Aid's Grand Opening Matching Campaign, allowing every gift designated to Mustard Seed House to be doubled and helping launch the ministry with the resources needed to begin serving patients immediately.
The second and third years of the Fellowship Award will fund the construction of additional patient accommodation, expanding the campus to serve even more families who travel from across Kenya and more than a dozen African countries seeking specialized medical treatment — bringing the campus to its full capacity of 250 patients and caregivers each night by the end of 2028.
"Mustard Seed House removes one of the greatest barriers to accessing healthcare in Sub-Saharan Africa by providing patients and caregivers with a safe place to stay near a specialized hospital. We are grateful to the Foxwynd Foundation for helping thousands more families experience compassionate Christian hospitality and the hope of the Gospel during their journey to healing."
Located adjacent to AGC Tenwek Hospital, Mustard Seed House Tenwek is part of Faith Aid's growing network of ministry sites in Kenya, each dedicated to helping the neediest patients overcome barriers to life-saving medical care. Faith Aid currently operates Mustard Seed Houses at Tenwek and Kijabe Hospitals and will soon launch a third location at Kapsowar Mission Hospital. When fully developed in 2028, the Tenwek campus will welcome up to 250 patients and caregivers each night, serving tens of thousands of families each year.
