***Hernia Repair for Peter***
When Peter was one year old, his mother, Pamela, noticed that his abdomen was swollen and painful. Pamela decided to bring Peter to a local clinic where Peter was diagnosed with a hernia. Pamela was devastated. She had no way to pay for the surgery. Hopeless, Pamela brought her sick baby boy home.
Thankfully Peter was referred to Under Five by a local pastor. Left untreated, hernias are excruciatingly painful and can lead to serious complications, and even death. Peter requires hernia repair surgery to end his pain and help him survive and thrive.
With your help, Peter will finally get the care he needs.

Questions & Answers
Can you tell me more about your organization?
Faith Aid & Development moves mountains for vulnerable children in Africa. Our organization is founded on Christ’s promise, that “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move” (Matthew 17:20). Our vision is a world where no child dies from treatable conditions.
What is Under Five?
Under Five saves the lives of African children suffering from preventable or treatable conditions. Across Kenya, community health workers, pastors, churches, hospitals, and organizations refer the most desperate children and families to Under Five.
What does the “Under Five” name mean?
Across the world, the under-five mortality rate measures the probability of dying between birth and 5 years of age. While much progress has been made globally to reduce under-five mortality rates, the highest rates of child mortality are still in Sub-Saharan Africa where 1 in 9 children dies before age five. Children under five are among the most vulnerable and voiceless in society. Under Five focuses on child survival and treatment for African children 5 years of age and younger.
Is your team on the ground in Kenya with Peter?
Yes. Under Five has a team in Kenya. Our team identifies, investigates, and builds a personal relationship with all children and families we serve.
